Jonathan is a Lieutenant with the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office, currently assigned to the Insurance Fraud Investigative Unit which oversees investigations into Workers’ Compensation Fraud, Auto Insurance Fraud and Health/Disability Fraud.

Jon has a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts/Communication from the University of Puget Sound and a Master’s Degree in Emergency Services Management from California State University at Long Beach.

Jon began his career as a police officer at the Town of Los Gatos in 2000. In 2005, he left Los Gatos to work for the San Jose Police Department. During his time at the San Jose Police Department Jon worked as an FTO (Field Training Officer), a Detective in the Robbery Unit, and served as a Police Academy Drill Instructor.

In 2015, Jon left San Jose and became a Criminal Investigator for the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office, where he was assigned to the Workers’ Compensation Unit. In 2017, he became the Team Leader of the Urban Auto Fraud Unit (Organized Auto Fraud). In 2019, he became the Team Leader of the Workers’ Compensation Fraud Unit. Jon became the Lieutenant of the Insurance Fraud Division in 2023.

Jon has over 10 years of experience with complex investigation such as Robbery, Homicide, Child Death, Officer-Involved Shootings, Bank Robbery, Kidnap for Ransom and Complex Fraud Investigations.
