CE Credit

Requirements

Resident Licensees with less than 20 years of service – 24 hours; 3 hours must be in ethics
Resident Licensees with more than 20 years of service – 20 hours; 3 hours must be in ethics
Credit Insurance Only – 10 hours of self study; no ethics requirement
Limited Subagent Only – 10 hours; no ethics requirement
Workers Compensation Adjuster Only – 20 hours of approved CE through the Workers Compensation Board; no ethics requirement

CE requirements must be completed biennially, on or before the last day of your birth month. You cannot receive credit for any course more than once in a reporting period.

Credit for CE earned in one filing period that exceeds the required hours may be carried forward to the next filing period, provided the credits carried forward does not exceed 50% of the biennial CE requirement.

Online exams must be monitored by a disinterested third party. A disinterested third party certifies that the licensee completed the exam without assistance and is someone who has no financial interest in the success or failure of the student’s ability to maintain their license.

The monitor must complete the online Declaration of Compliance. If the licensee launches the exam without a monitor present, he/she will be disqualified from receiving CE credit for the course. Completion of the Declaration of Compliance acknowledges understanding and adherence to the specific requirements outlined by the State Department of Insurance.
